Decided to give them a try regardless. I've been sitting in front of a computer as a Network Engineer for over 15 years. Never once did I realize I needed 'computer eyewear' until I tried these on. Headaches? Gone... Red eyes? Ehh... Better... My eyes are still red but no longer bloodshot as they used to be. When you take these things off (Looking for hours on end at my massive dual monitors), the screens now stick out like fluorescent bug zappers. I can no longer sit at my desk without having this 'protection' on my eyes. Yes, the yellowish tint look similar to goggles at the gun range but I don't care. Takes a few minutes initially to get used to but I literally cannot work without these things on. Damn Gunnar Optik's for creating 'eye crack' & now I'm dependent...

One of the other web developers here had a pair and recommended I try his for a day to see if it solved the problem. I tried them and I didn't get a headache that day. While expensive I felt it was worth the cost to prevent future headaches. I've had them for a couple weeks now and haven't had any headaches since I've started using them. I would strongly recommend these to anyone suffering with the same problem.
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful They Work, March 13, 2011 By This review is from: GUNNAR Computer Eyewear - Rocket Mercury Frame (Personal Computers) I have owned a pair of these gunnars for over a year now and boy am I glad I bought them, first of all, these are very light weight and very flexible and I did go to a gunnar dealer to buy them cause I was afraid that they might be too small. after trying different gunnar designs i ended up with the Rocket because of how light they are. now these are a lot bigger in size than the rest of them an having a big head I thought they are perfect. I use them daily for online gaming and sitting infront of a very bright 27" monitor I needed those glasses because before them I couldn't last for more than a couple of hours and before my eyes turned red, dry and strained, now I can game all night and my eyes are still relaxed. these are very necessary for larger monitors but if you are getting them for a 15" laptop then you will not see that much of a difference.
so I will defiantly recommend a pair of gunnars but first be sure to try them on and see if they fit before you buy them.
